Interview with Ofelia Zepeda
During a radio program on KUAT in Tucson, Ofelia Zepeda, a Papago scholar and the first of her
tribe to obtain a Ph.D., commented on the relationship of the 'O'odham people to
the landscape and to the mountains (in ReadAudio), particuliarly to Baboquivari Mountain, the home of
I'itoi. She is very soft spoken and tends to get more so as her comments continue. Also,
the quality of this recording is not good. I hope you can appreciate her words.
